10.31.2008 - In less than an hour I'll be wearing my first Halloween get up. The last time I went in costume was for Monster Radio RX93.1's Halloween Party in 1996. Its so long ago I want to forget that I looked like Luigi in purple overhauls. This time around I'm going to the Clear Black Night Party as a Fan... A Transformers Fan. Wearing Fandom shirt of Transformers Philippines, which the original group recent released during Toy Con 2008. Actually I've been wearing the same shirt since I went to work carrying this electronic voice changer mask. It looked bulky and kinda over sized for my body, that makes me out of proportions wearing the mask. But none the less party starts tonight and off I go! |

10.29.2008 - Last night was a one of those rare shows you'll ever see. Well known musicians from all over Asia banded together to perform as Unit Asia. Evidently the performance from last night was beyond expectation.
Live at the Music Museum everyone was awestruck with there music, and stood out as one of those rare performance that was a standing ovation.
Artists from Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan is one Unit Asia who brought the house down. The Queen of Bossa was the special artist of that night. The one and only Sitti who graced and perform Girl from Ipanema, Look at the Sun and Aqua Beber.
There was an encore after Unit Asia stepped out the stage to end there performance. They played two more songs and then Sitti came out to surprise everyone with Mas Que Nada (a personal favorite of mine).
Quite astounding & invigorating night it was. Unit Asia's next tour will take them to other parts of South East Asia.
They have been traveling since coming from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore for rehearsals until they reached Manila.
10.28.2008 - Performing tonight at Music Museum will be the band Unit Asia composed of musicians from Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand with special performance by the Philippines very own Queen of Bossa Sitti.
Catch her and Unit Asia perform tonight for a special treat. Thanks to Japan Foundation and TangerineSkies Artist PR.
10.27.2008 - Organized a last minute toy photography shoot with a friend who went to the Eastwood City Halloween Festival yesterday. It was sort of impromptu when z3ll and I decided to plan the toy shoot activity during the hours of the event. I guess it went well bringing his Hellboy action figure and my Pitt build-a-figure from the first wave of the now discontinued Legendary Comic Book Heroes. The shoot was quite impromptu and its been a long time I had organized one since last summer. |

10.25.2008 - Last night was the launch of Up Dharma Down's 2nd most awaited album BIPOLAR. Internationally acclaimed band, who recently was the front act for Incubus' Light Grenades Pacific Rim Tour Manila stop at Araneta Coliseum on March 9th of this year.
They have have packed the Hexagon Lounge of RCBC Plaza last night, where Dharma Denizens flocked to see there live performance with the all-new songs from the BIPOLAR album.
A friend and yours truly almost didn't make it inside the venue, and only in the guest lists(the press and media) are allowed to enter the Hexagon Lounge. But maybe in the future bloggers too will have that equal opportunity to be part of the that lists to spread the word. Though luck would strike as we got the chance to see there performance.
Basically other people inside left and people in waiting in line was given that chance. This event almost didn't lived to its expectation as it was beyond, that they where surprised a huge turn out would spell out great success for the band.
Its definitely worth the wait to get a hold of there latest album as the new limited edition album packed with 14 new tracks and with an exclusive DVD to boot.
The eye catching packaging is something worth up notch with quality, and its definitely with clarity of with music BIPOLAR is surely hard to miss. Specially when you see them perform live.
Get your latest copy of BIPOLAR or check out there official website at UpDharmaDown.com

10.21.2008 - A relative gave me this passes and had an option to see any of the movies being shown in Greenbelt 1 Cinemas. He just handed this card to me, since he might not able to use and might get another one next month.
I thought this is one per person use but it turns out you can go watch a movie with a friend presenting this one-time only. Actually you have to surrender it upon deciding to watch the movie being featured in Greenbelt 1. This is one freebie I wish anyone can acquire, but to my surprise these are just one of the perks being employed in Ayala.
Anyways who want to watch a movie with me?
10.19.2008 - Yesterday was the Tekken 6 Tournament 2008 presented by Powerstation, Quantum Amusement, SM Mall of Asia, and Namco Bandai Games. The event was witnessed by Project Director of Tekken 6 himself Mr. Katsuhiro Harada as one of the judges.

10.16.2008 - Yesterday on the way out after acquiring the Iron Man DVD Edition passed the exit a standee of a well familiar face. A friend who has not been talking to for the past two years or almost. Well she's got a new vibe now with a new management and still very supportive fans. Sitti Navarro or known as Katre to her close friends and fans has just got advance Christmas treat in the form of her latest album Sitti Ngayon Pasko. Packed with hidden features, unrated, extended scenes and more. Plus get it in a unique DVD case. Now that's worth every buck for the Iron Man fan in you.
On the other note about Kumpas an orchestra celebration a compilation of rock songs turned into a konsiyerto by FilharmoniKa and conducted by Gerald Salonga is something worth listening into.
Eleven tracks featuring guest artists Jett Pangan, Noel Canangon, Wally Gonzalez, Sampaguita, and Ely Buendia. Renditions of rock songs Kanlungan, Tao, Salamat, Ang Himig Natin, and the most favorable in the track Ang Huling El Bimbo(The Last El Bimbo) into orchestra is goose bumps all over again. As the Eraserheads reunion is still fresh from everyone who had the chance to witness it.
So if you happen to be near a local record store check out these cool finds. Definitely worth watching and listening.
10.14.2008 – Sometimes being good at being bad might turn up to be something legendary, and would make you become an iconic character in specific roles. Jean Garcia, she's done all of it and continues to have memorable "villain" roles in television or film in the Philippines. She represents the modern hardworking Filipina through her apperances in certain shows.
It was just one of those Sundays but it feels like a Friday night out for a party. But for those who are not keeping track of what's today, it must be confusing. Let alone for some who might be living under the rock or far down the dark crevices in those caves. But for the FHM readers who took notice, Sundays are something special too. 10.13.2008 - Last Saturday was one of the occasions that I rarely could not contain. Being part of The Only LEGO® Fan & Builder Group like Phil Bricksters teaming up with the local distributor of the famous construction toy is a match made dream in heaven.
I guess one childhood fantasy is definitely happening. Building as part for LEGO® is well enjoyed hobby and this is going to be a huge one.
For my friends at Phil Bricksters its one project looking forward to as a challenge and definitely one for the books. I heard build day starts on October 15th a Wednesday but I'm sure I'll get around to it by this coming Saturday.
So definitely I'm going to be part of the build team why not you?
10.11.2008 - On the way home from a LEGO® event meeting I took the train from Metro Rail Transport at Shaw station. Its a Saturday where there is not many people waiting in the platform.
Well boarding the usual train was one of the alternate transport just to get to point A to point B. I've been traveling and taking this sometimes just to get there on time. But whenever I get on a train where there is less passengers I noticed most of these passengers would crowd at the doors.
So what's is it that people should be blocking the doors instead there wasted free space in the middle isle of the train.
In other countries as I remember far back from my last trip in Hongkong people had the discipline not to crowd at the exit/entrance part of the train, which usually announced by the driver not to do.
Are we lacking discipline here?
I'm bothered what's with local commuters taking the train shouldn't be doing is blocking off the doors, that sometimes would look liked the train is filled up. But eventually the space in the middle of the isle is so spacious you could lie down for no off reasons.
We should set a better example to other countries where they really listen to what the train driver says.
Never stand at the doors. Sheesh!
10.10.2008 - The recently concluded wine tasting with Rene Barbier at Trinoma Mall was quite invigorating good for the heart and soul. Unable to be present for the short seminar on wine, but not missing the dinner that came with it.
Bloggers, Plurkers, and online aficionados came to dine gave a taste of Rene Babier a well know wine.
Spot.Ph, who organized this event was thankful enough to give us a sampling of all the kinds of wine by Rene Babier and couldn't forget the after effects.
Foe now let's drink up and be merry as the way a wine used to be defined.
10.09.2008 - Thanks to Mach Diesel for making it to cover this year's FilAmFest, which featured Filipino local talents this past weekend in San Diego California.
You could say FilAmFest is the counterpart to the recently concluded Arts & Music Festival, which was held two months ago at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall. But FilAmfest has the APO Hiking Society, Ara Mina, and Kitchie Nadal gracing the event.
Almost forgot to mention comic book superstar & Wetworks creator Whilce Portacio who's currently working on the new Spawn comic book was there too.
Special thanks to Mach he was able to meet with Kitchie and Roca Cruz her manager. Kitchie's next stop will be in New York and will be back in the second week of October for another road tour here in the Philippines.
You could check out more photo coverage of the FilAmFest in Mach's Starstruck album in multiply.
10.08.2008 - Everyone marked your calendars and clear your schedule for this coming Sunday. Miss Jean Garcia is in the house or should we say at Robinsons Galleria's Movie World to sign your latest issue of FHM magazine.
Anyone who doesn't know about this upcoming event must have lived in a cave for so long, maybe its time you go out and get your latest copy. Because there's going to be a long line...
A very long one. Seriously.
