In reality, the concept about the Blockade Buster doesn’t exist and rarely Matchbox produce fictional vehicles that related to a military theme. If it pass up to be a real armoured tank it would be an oversize combat vehicle due to the scale of its appearance, but side by side with a conventional Matchbox car it becomes undersized.

New Colors Same Combat Tank

The Blockade Buster is a modern military vehicle introduced in 2014, and had gone to five variations of this military theme colors. Its latest iteration is in light grey with new tamo defining the panels to make it more detailed.

Like the previous release the double barrel cannons rotate 360 degrees, but don’t have its ability to get the cannons to swivel up. Basically it can’t fight off aerial vehicles and more of a land based combat tank that can be used in various missions. The previous color iteration from 2015 came out as an urban vehicle for SWAT which worked so well in this theme.

Not as Armoured as You Think

Though in appearance it looks like a tank that can take out everything, but when you closely it’s not entirely die-cast as what used to be made off in previous military vehicles produced by Matchbox.

The tire threads is a bit raised up to reveal four wheels underneath when you roll it flat surfaces, but in other terrains like carpets it looks good. The colors though not as you’d probably appreciate like the previous releases, but Matchbox was consistent enough to keep it in the military colors as compared to the Attack Track missile tank.

“Blockade Buster” is numbered 71 0f 125 die-cast cars released for Matchbox in 2017 and it was acquired at Big W in Westfield Marion for $2.00 AUD (originaly retailed at $3.00 AUD) or PhP 80.00 in Philippine Peso. Matchbox is distributed and sold in the Philippines by Richprime Global Inc now retailed at PhP 119.75 pesos!
