11.24.2017 – Most collectors won’t mind looking to what went to the design in making of a Hot Wheels cars. But when you think about it they’re not car designers with limitations like the ones who design real cars they become more creative.

This is where some of the cars from the “Experimotors” sub-theme are well presented hence the name of the sub-line. Then there’s a dump truck that’s both hilarious and could be pun intended to the concept of toiler humor.

(Please CLICK on the title for the full article)

When you “Gotta Go” the name really sticks to the Hot Wheels vehicle in discussion as the way it was put together its obvious that there’s something to do with going to the toilet either you do a number 1 or number 2.

Hot Wheels trademark in making literal cars based on what they where makes this truck an interesting subject. This is not the first time they designed a car that look literal the way it was named, which is both interestingly funny and sometimes for more take it out of context in the form of a diecast car.

“Got ta Go” had a description in Hot Wheels wikia that explains everything about this dump truck that literally go below:

The “Gotta Go” is a Hot Wheels original model designed by Brendon Vetuskey. It is designed to look like a 1920 dump truck (no pun intended). The Gotta Go is obviously designed with toilets in mind. The first thing that strikes you when you open this Hot Wheels is the moving toilet seat. The seat moves up and down when the model is rolled around. The grille is shaped like a urinal and the cab appears to be designed to represent the water reservoir of a toilet. The cab doors are designed to look like toilet cabinets. The handle of the doors are flushing tank levers. The rear license plate holder is a roll of toilet paper. The taillight could be faucet handles or toilet brushes. And the front fenders appear to be strings of toilet paper. The exhausts could of course be plumbing.

When it was first release in the US the backing card of the packaging have details about the cars, but when it was available in the international markets there was no info other than the image of the truck’s gimmick as explained at the back of this card:

Born: 2017
Birthplace: El Segundo
Designer: Hot Wheels®
Specialty: Sometimes when you're on the go, you just gotta go! Whether you're dropping the kids off, racing to fix a leak or enjoying the view from your throne, this neat little dump truck keeps things moving in style!

Toilet on the Go

“Gotta Go” is made of toilet themed designs starting off with the seat and the truck cab made from various parts door cabinets, flush handles, and urinals shape in the front of the grill to name a few features for this dump truck.

As mentioned this is the not the first time Hot Wheels produced a car that came with a toilet seat. They previously produced the Hot Seat (1998-2004) that was discontinued thirteen years ago, which is a rolling toilet that’s literal to its name.

Put the Seat Down

What makes “Gotta Go” works is the movable toilet seat when it rolls this moves, but unlike its predecessor you can’t lift it all the way to 90 degrees. But it’s better to know being a gentleman to let the seat down when you’re driving past the 30 km limit.

Overall fun design concept for a dump truck that’s both a pun and have its toilet humor to back it up. It might not be pleasing to some but this car looks as funny as its name and the logo that came with it and this why Hot Wheels designers have no limitation to come up with an idea that they sometimes take it literally.

“Gotta Go” is part of the 2017 Hot Wheels series numbered 2 out of 10 under the HW Experimotors sub-line with overall numbered as 101 of 365 in the enitre series manufactured by Mattel, which was acquired in Australia for $2.00 AUD or PhP 80.00 Philippine pesos.

Hot Wheels is distributed and sold in the Philippines by Richprime Global Inc currently retailed at PhP 109.75 pesos!
