10.06.2017 – Chevrolet has many notable pick-up trucks, but there are also unfamiliar ones as they never where produced in other markets particularly in Asia or even in Australia as most of the GM produced Chevys are under the Holden badge.

But there’s one Chevy truck that Matchbox has brought back for the 2017 series that hasn’t been produced as a single card since 2008 and that’s the Chevrolet Avalanche with a very interesting color that is rarely applied in a vehicle with muscular features.

(Please CLICK on the title for the full article)

The Chevy Avalanche in reality has been produced since 2001 up to its last generation in 2013 as a four-door, five or six passenger Pickup Truck sharing GM's long-wheelbase chassis used on the Chevrolet Suburban and Cadillac Escalade EXT.

Matchbox produced only the first generation edition, which was part of the 2002 series and has been in different color variation and tampo design. The last casting produced in 2009 was a promotional item for Ace Hardware and on that same year and the only way you can acquire the regular release is through the 5-packs.

Now in Pink Flavor

After almost an eight year absence Matchbox has included the Chevy Avalanche for the 2017 series and it comes in Pink! There are several pink die cast cars out there, but one comes to mind is the classic Hummer produced for the Hot Wheels brand in 1996 under the Mod Bod Sub-Series with flowery motif.

But the Chevy Avalanche was produced in its own Pink Glory with minor tampograph on the side. But this retains the cover for the bed in gray plastic and the entire body including the chassis comes in Pink that kind fits well with the theme.

Luxuriously Eye Catcher

Out from the display pegs you can see this that stands out in its current color. The Chevy Avalanche won’t be this attractive if not for its feminine color. But in reality the actual vehicle has been discontinued for four years. For its eye catching color there’s not much interesting about the Chevy Avalanche.

Overall pink is one of the loud colors that catch your eye and its something unique that a muscular vehicle like the Chevy Avalanche would actually attract would-be female collectors but depends on who is interested. The bed cover doesn’t open and since the tampos are done on both sides the front and rear doesn’t have a detailed front or taillight. Nobody would bother about it unless you’re about the details, but this certainly another one of those not-so rare attractive trucks that screams Pink!

“Chevrolet Avalanche” is numbered 24 0f 125 diecast cars released for Matchbox in 2017 and it was acquired at Big W in Westfield Marion for $2.00 AUD (originaly retailed at $3.00 AUD) or PhP 80.00 in Philippine Peso. Matchbox is distributed and sold in the Philippines by Richprime Global Inc now retailed at PhP 119.75 pesos!
