The origin of Hiway Hauler goes back to the 1992 version, which is more realistic than the ones produced now are fictional concept design. The cab itself speaks more of a radical idea than grounded to reality when it was released in 2012 as part of the ‘New Models’ line up for the ever growing mainline for the brand.
Hiway Hauler 2 is obviously for some reasons is a wild take on the outrageous designs that makes Hot Wheels stand out. But what grabbed some of the casual collectors’ attention is the theme for 2015, namely the art cars street style culture. The way the art works applied in this one really catches some of that vibe.
Hauling Hauler
To be honest, the Hiway Hauler design is more of a concept with its streamline strokes and aerodynamic aesthetics makes it quite impossible to be manufactured out of the idea for a tractor head. But in some ways it works if you know how to look at it in a different kind of perspective.
It may not look unreal but the point that Hot Wheels has produced its casting the possibility can be closer to realism. The original release has more plastic than metal casting for the earlier released that Hot Wheels made some running changes by the time they released a newer version in 2014 with less plastic on the semitrailer.
Hiway Bubble Art
The semitrailer have many variations of graphics incorporated in it a personality and identity of the Hiway Hauler. From 2012 to 2016 there have been various graphics that graced both sides of the truck as its advertisement, but the most prominent was Checkerboard, Stripes and Odometer from the 2014 release and this one, which is the Bubbles with a small Hot Wheels logo as the casting had produced two various colors in the succeeding year.
Overall the concept aerodynamic cab design doesn’t look quite attractive, but what made it get off the shelf racks is the advertisement graphics that occupied the sides of the semitrailer. The Art Cars theme for 2015 looks to be the first of many themes the brand has focused and expanded on wait until 2016 release a new set. But this yellow version has more attraction with realistic black tires compared to the white ones released in its earlier 2015 release.
