| 12.06.2014 – The biggest NBA Store outside the US to date officially opens to the public after last night’s soft launch for invited guests and VIPs who had a first look at what they have for those who followed the game.
There was already line forming as early as 9AM and it has been a long wait since they announced via the NBA Fan Fest in Mid-September. Last night they have Richard “Rip” Hamilton do the ribbon cutting for the first NBA Store in the Philippines. (Please CLICK on the title for the full article) |
There was also an announcement last night that the first 300 customers will get a special gift courtesy of the NBA Store. The three-time NBA All-Star and member of the 2004 NBA Champion Detroit Pistons was present to celebrate the opening with local personalities and celebrities getting the first glimpse of what NBA fans expect during opening day and they did not disappoint.

As announced in the press release Rip Hamilton will be at the store in the morning to hand out the first 300 visitors to the NBA Store, including the opportunity to win limited edition footwear, NBA Store gift certificates, personalized jerseys and other NBA merchandise. But he wasn’t present during the morning as announced though the fans had enough of their fill when they got in the store early this morning.

The NBA Store is managed by International Athletic Trading Company, Inc., the NBA Store in Manila will offer basketball aficionados authentic NBA merchandise and memorabilia. Boasting more than one thousand square meters over two floors, the NBA Store will carry merchandise from all 30 teams and offer personalized jersey services. The store will feature a comprehensive assortment of NBA products, including the latest apparel and footwear by adidas, the official outfitter of the NBA.
Fans can also find autographed memorabilia for sale as well as NBA lifestyle and off-court apparel and accessories only available for sale at the NBA Store in the Philippines. Other unique features include an interactive zone where fans can hone their NBA 2K skills and measure their hands, feet, and height against their favorite players, all while soaking up an authentic NBA shopping experience.

There are interactive section of the store like the NBA2K and sizing yourself up with NBA players. What makes it more interesting is the gallery area that has all the signed photos and jerseys and they are also for sale. Besides the authentic memorabilia you can also personalize your very own NBA jersey.
The NBA Store in Manila will carry products from brands such as adidas, New Era, Panini, Spalding, Stance Socks, 2K Sports and many more. Fans can also look forward to finding NBA-branded footwear and NBA Exclusive Apparel collections that will be available in the country for the first time and are being offered exclusively at the NBA Store in the Philippines.

The NBA Store officially opened Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 9:00 AM. Regular store hours are 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Sunday to Thursday) and 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM (Friday and Saturday).
