06.15.2013 – Comedic chemistry doesn’t happen overnight and it’s rarely you see two actors click in the big screen.

But when you put an Academy Award winner like Sandra Bullock go toe to toe with Melissa McCarthy then you have big chaos in your hands.

Though director Paul Feig has other things in his mind when he reinvigorates the buddy cop genre by pairing two women as law enforcers with wildly different styles in “The Heat” it never happens that Bullock and McCarthy would share scream time in a action comedy in this level.

It’s rare or it might be the first time to see two women starring a buddy cop and “The Heat” seems like picking up some steam wanting to check this film out.

Now the premise is like your usual buddy cop genre but hey this might a start of a beautiful friendship that other action comedy films become forgotten. In a way this is also quite “in your face” type of film that you might want to have a good laugh at.

Set in Boston, the movie follows Sarah Ashburn (Bullock), a by-the-book FBI agent forced to team up with Shannon Mullins (McCarthy), a brash undercover Boston street cop to track a ruthless drug lord. This wildly dysfunctional duo must try to catch this high-powered criminal without killing one another in the process.

Rated R-13, “The Heat” opens in cinemas on June 27, 2013 from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
