The first released Mazda CX-5 units with SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel engine began rolling out at Ujina Plant near Mazda's headquarters in Hiroshima
Takara Tomy released their latest die cast cars under the Tomica brand for 2012 and the Mazda CX-5 was part of that line up. It features to color variations of metallic blue and red which has dark tin in its windows.
Its one of the smaller crossover SUVs that can reliable and considered to be family sedan good for road trips and other leisure activity. The smaller collectible version is scaled at 1/66 and features an opening rear boot compartment. Just like any Tomica cars it has a working suspension. It has standard Tomica wheels that have been synonymous with the product and the brand
Takara Tomy released the 1/61 scale die cast collectible in 2008 with the designated number 94 in its standard box. Just like any Tomica car it has a working suspension and some have extra gimmicks like opening doors and the GT-R has that function.
The real Mazda CX-5 has been out in the Philippines and just like the die cast collectible it comes in Blue and Red which these images are from the official press conference from Mazda Philippines that launched the car sometime in April 2012.
The Mazda CX-5 is part of the 2012 Tomica series of die cast cars manufactured by Takara Tomy and locally distributed by Bankee Toys with the standard retail price at PhP 169.75 pesos.
