A more improvement of the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg continues to carry the German ingenuity and style, which offers versatility as well as an array of standard features. This offers three powertrain choices, and the first-ever worldwide to use a hybrid engine. The three engines, the 3.0L V6 TSI supercharged hybrid, 3.0L V6 TDI clean diesel and 3.6L V6 FSI gasoline, complement the vehicle's eight-speed transmission together with Volkswagen's patented 4MOTION all wheel drive system.

The 2011 Touareg includes an impressive number of standard active, and passive safety features to help the driver and passenger safely on their travels.
There are six airbags, thorax units for the driver and front passenger. This also includes a Side Curtain Protection for hte front and rear outboard passengers. These all come standard with the 2011 model. The Touareg will be available in nine different colors which also added five new colors for more choices. These colors are: Cool Silver Metallic, Flint Gray Metallic, Toffee Brown Metallic, Night Blue Metallic and Tungsten Silver Metallic (Hybrid only).
