The Chow Mobile is its latest iteration of the Food Truck that has had its story through its various year-to-year releases. Matchbox has introduced it as part of the introductory “New Model” and so far there is four other variation of this casting.

Chow King of the Road

Originally named “Food Truck” released for the 2013 Matchox series and it had a running change on the body casting making the food section of the inner plastic become part of the mold by 2015 with like of details in the initial release.

By 2017 the “Food Truck” was re-released once again with same body casting from 2015, but this time it had better detail on the food and other things you can find in a truck like this. This time around it was now known as the “Chow Mobile” a food service for construction workers and it was now designated under the MBX Construction sub-line.

Mobile Food Service

Just like the previous iterations of this model it represents fictional food service, but what tops this since its original release was the attention to the details of the various colors of food that has been painted or what tampograph?

The “Worksite Food Truck” is on the spot with little tiny wordings and details that includes the name of its owners and the menu. The color scheme of blue, yellow, and white trimmings compliments the “construction theme” that is a service for blue collar workers seems this one truck right for its new look.

Chowing on Wheels

It’s quite noting how this casting getting a new life with added color details on the side, but the original casting was way better with separate plastic part. Then again cutting corners with its aforementioned changes in the casting is getting less interesting as compared it was first introduced.

Overall the “Chow Mobile” saved itself from being ignored for fewer details and appeared brand new with the “construction theme.” With added details the Matchbox team went above and beyond when you talk about quality for the colors trading the old casting for a solid body before was a downgrade. But with this new look with well detailed appearance of the food stall makes it more pleasing to the eye.

“Chow Mobile” is numbered 53 0f 125 diecast cars released for Matchbox in 2017 and it was acquired during a end of month sale at Coles for $2.10 AUD (originaly retailed at $3.00 AUD) or PhP 84.00 in Philippine Peso. Matchbox is distributed and sold in the Philippines by Richprime Global Inc now retailed at PhP 119.75 pesos!
