|05.31.2013 – the Miami Heat has beaten the Indiana Pacers the same team that will be coming on October 10, 2013 to take on the Houston Rockets that was previously announced during an earlier presscon that NBA will have its first pre-season in the Philippines in the delight of basketball fans in the country.
The announcement was made by SM and NBA today during the half time of the Eastern Conference Finals where the Miami Heat is this year’s defending champions trying to outlast the Indiana Pacers that would make the visit in four months. The tickets for the NBA Global Games Philippines will go on sale on Sunday, June 16, 2013.

The Houston Rockets that feature a dynamic young roster led by NBA All-Star and All-NBA selection James Harden, along with Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons. The team has played 13 games outside of the US and Canada, including four games in China, two each in 2004 and 2010, and two regular games in Japan in 1992.
They will be going up against the current team that is vying to make the Miami Heat’s playoffs a tough one with the Indiana Pacers which is led by NBA All-Stars Paul George and Roy Hibbert, have played twice , most recently in 2009 in Beijing and Taipei.
The NBA Global Games will see eight NBA teams play in the eight cities in six countries this October. The schedule – Which will also feature the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards – Will also include the first-ever NBA preseason game in Brazil, and the cities of Bilbao, Spain, and Manchester, England. It will also include games in Beijing, Istanbul, Shanghai, and Taipei.
