If you haven’t seen the classic the 1939 classic Wizard of Oz which made Judy Garland one of the popular icons in cinema then Oz the Great and Powerful would give you an idea how popular the book L. Frank Baum came to be.
Though Oz the Great and Powerful was not entirely L. Frank Baum’s creation this was a good starting point to watch the beginning how Oz came to be similar to how the James Bond films came out not written by its original creator. Oz is most highly suggested to be seen in Disney Digital 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D formats. It gives its younger audience that they are taken to the fantasy realm of Oz.
The actors performed well in their challenging roles most notably Mila Kunis as Theodora which gives us an idea who she becomes without spoiling anyone who has not read or seen the 1939 film.
Visually enchanting and enthralled viewers with each cinematic scenes that the world of Oz is a very big place that there are so many area not been shown in the big screen as being told in the 13 books that inspired the films. Though there are minor inconsistencies that are a cinematic trademark of Sam Raimi that never fails to impress his viewers how things roll from start to finish.
If you have been marveled with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy and have seen him making a blockbuster in Evil Dead with Army Darkness comes to mind. Surely Oz the Great and Powerful deserves something with the same level of appreciation that everyone come to see his films.
Overall Oz the Great and Powerful has something of a nostalgic wonder staying true to its true inspiration which is the 1939 film that has become iconic in the film industry. If your curiosity has brought you interest wanting to see this classic you have to see Oz the Great and Powerful most highly suggested in 3D for the whole family.
