02.12.2013 – LEGO has grown from just a bunch of plastic bricks to crossing the medium of art. It has been constantly copied, bootlegged, cloned, and imitated. The brand celebrated 80 years as its anniversary and LEGO continues to be as innovative as possible.
Now it pushes the boundaries of imagination through “The Art of Brick” by Nathan Sawaya a New York-based artist known for building three-dimensional sculptures and large-scale mosaics from popular everyday items who has been known for his works using standard LEGO bricks. His unique creations caught the attention by companies, charities, individuals, museums and galleries all over the world. His works are currently on exhibit at the Art and Science Museum, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Sawaya’s creations are inspiring not only young minds but everyone who definitely know how to appreciate art.
