Talking to the media about the changes and experiences he gathered in the recently concluded NBA Finals last June.

He spoke candidly to the people who got the chance to ask Coach Spo some interesting questions and just being himself in the front of the huge crowd at the conference room in Marriott Hotel. The program opened with Chiqui Reyes of Solar Sports giving a few speeches.

Spoelstra will conduct basketball clinics and had a very hectic schedule but made the flight to make it back to the country which he is proud of his Filipino heritage. The visit is dubbed “The NBA Trophy Tour” which commenced the day the press con was announced and certainly it’s a home coming for the coach who started as a video coordinator back in 1995.

He was thrilled to be back and happy to share his success in front of his passionate Filipino basketball fans after taking Miami Heat to the NBA Finals and beating Oaklahoma City Thunder 4-1.

The crowed was pleased to see him now an American with Asian lineage to win NBA Champion title and still cautious to make any proclamations but started a process with his team in making a journey back and hoping to win a second title.

If the words can’t picture out what went down during the press conference at the Marriott Hotel then these images will give you an idea…
