The presence is also felt by the local artists who has been known in the Komiks scene. The Philippines is rich with talents and its own culture has been talked about by greats like Neil Gaiman. He was here in 2010 and he is still surprised how we as Filipinos come out something different and unique.

Much is felt here in FCBD 2011 with the burst of talent like Mark Torres, who a week ago had a signing and sketch event. He was promoting his latest book Robots VS Zombies: UnderCity with Chris Ryall as writer of the book.

There was Ariel Atienza, Lyndon Gregorio, and the guys from Komikon led by John and Sheri Zamar. The other guy you talk to at Comic Odyssey's Facebook page, Norby Ela was present as well.

The first lady at the line was lucky enough to grab the first comics and that was Norby's girlfriend. Some good friends from the pop culture community was present. Familiar faces who had greatly contributed and passionate was there in full force.
