04.06.2010 - FOX, the world’s number one U.S. series channel, has launched its latest science-fiction television series Flash Forward via an exclusive press screening to select members of the media and FOX trade partners at Manila Ocean Park’s White Moon Bar.

FOX International Channels (FIC) territory director Jude Turcuato and other FIC officials welcomed the guests who were all eager to see the director’s cut of Flash Forward’s pilot episode, “No more good days.

We are thrilled to finally bring this global blockbuster TV series to our local cable TV channels. I’m sure that viewers will find Flash Forward’s 23 episodes worth watching with its special effects and suspenseful storytelling,” Turcuato said.

The event became even more exciting when the guests were offered a chance to have their own “flashforward” experience or a glimpse of their possible future through a tarot card reading by members of Spirit Questors Inc.

Flash Forward’s pilot episode was shown over dinner, and guests were amazed at the sci-fi television series’ impressive visual effects, the same production element that attracted 12.5 million viewers when it was launched in the U.S.

After the dinner and premiere screening, the guests were treated to an equally-exciting lights and fountain show at the Manila Ocean Park.

FlashForward

A big budget sci-fi series in the tradition of Lost, FlashForward stars British actor Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love and Enemy at the Gates) who plays Los Angeles FBI agent Mark Benford investigating a mysterious event that caused nearly everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. During this brief “blackout,” people saw glimpses of their lives on April 29, 2010 or six months into the future—a global “flashforward.”

FlashForward also stars Sonya Walger (Lost) as trauma surgeon Dr. Olive Benford, John Cho (Harold and Kumar) as FBI special agent Demetri Noh, Christine Woods (House) as FBI agent Janis Hawk, Courtney Vance (Law & Order) as FBI assistant director Stanford Wedeck, Zachary Knighton (Ed) as surgical intern Bryce Varley, and Bryan O’Byrne (The International) as technician Aaron Stark.

FlashForward’s next thrilling episodes include White to Play and 137 Sekunden. The new sci-fi television series airs every Monday at 10 p.m., only on FOX Channel (Sky Cable Channel 50).

In White to Play (12 April, 10 pm), the FBI begins to acquire clues about the blackout. The web site they’ve created leads them to Utah, and to the conclusion that there were at least two people awake during the blackout. Demetri gets more information about his own fate and Mark learns some frightening information from his daughter, Charlie, about her blackout vision.

In 137 Sekunden (19 April, 10 p.m.), Mark and Janis travel to Munich, Germany to speak with an imprisoned Nazi who claims to have knowledge about why the blackout lasted exactly 137 seconds, and an anonymous tip leads Demetri to believe his deepest fears about his future. Mark discovered that the blackout had already happened in 1991 when all the crows died. And one little boy saw something you will never, ever forget.
