Synopsis

A story of a 12 year old who is anxious to start middle school, confident he will easily become the school's most popular kid. -- "I'll be famous one day, but for now I'm stuck in middle school with a bunch of morons."

Based on the illustrated novel series of the same title carried out also the in-between simple animation. It's kid friendly and parents would warmed up to seeing this film. Set in American suburban culture can be different how we grew up in the middle school here in the Philippines with the same angst and pains going through it.

Its funny and hilarious at the same time gives you an LSS (Last Song Syndrome) with a catch phrase like "Zoo-Wee Mama!" with a whole lot of laughter.

It brings back memories of growing trying to find your niche in school, where they would remember you in those year books. The movie relates to anyone personal and has a good sense of learning one thing: Be True To Yourself.

The Verdict

Overall I give this four and half popcorn bag. Its kid friendly and parents would be interested how Americans bring up their children in the US. How differently it was compared to our way of culture here in Philippines. In the end a lesson for everyone if you want to be remembered all you need to do is be true to yourself and the rest will click in the right direction. Zoo-Wee Mama!
