07.27.2009 - Tron was the very first movie that incorporate computer graphics produced by Disney in 1982. Remember the Light Cycle and the adventures of Kevin Flynn into the world Tron. Though technology was not perfect in its hay day it had a cult following.
There where several attempts to bring Tron back first as a comic book adaptation in 2003, which was then supposed to be Tron 2.0: Derezzed. Unfortunately it was canceled before 88 MPH could release the mini-series. Then two years later Slave Labor Graphics tried and succeed to release the first of a six-issue series in April 2006. The story is set six months after Tron 2.0 and detailed history of the Tron Universe.
Fast forward to the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con 2009 as the first teaser trailer to the sequel now known officially as Tron Legacy was revealed on July 24th, 2009 during the Masquerade Ball.
Disney is bringing Tron Legacy to theaters in late 2010. Keep an eye on the return of this movie to the big screen soon.
