01.05.2018 – its summer once again in Australia and fire danger warnings has been announced all over the state. The protocol for the season is a priority to the remote regions with areas that are fire hazardous like the bush.
The dry season is without safety precautions and rescue vehicles have been standing by. Hot Wheels have produced fire trucks from real to fictional and its probably the right time to bring on the 5 Alarm from 2014 to get its spotlight! (Please CLICK on the title for the full article) |
The 5 Alarm has been produced for the Hot Wheels mainline since 2009 as part of the ‘New Models’ and has been consistently present in the series year after until 2015, which was featured before with its most recent color.
Based from Kevin Cao’s design his idea is a marriage of a military tank and supercharge engine into this fantastic Hot Wheels fire engine. Its concept is way beyond realism, but it’s a cool take on a fire truck on steroids.
5 Alarm in 2014
The year prior to the 2015 release for the mainline this version had the colors of the very first edition, but with new graphic and different wheels. Though it would be simpler if it the chrome was toned down, but it seems this is part of its appearance being shiny and all though entirely one of the uncanny concepts ever produced.
Its fiery red color simply makes it known this is a standard fire truck that’s ready to do its job in the city unlike the 2015 release in lime green that is more assigned to be the rescue vehicle for the airports.
From the back of the 2009 US Card:
Born: 2009
Birthplace: El Segundo, CA, USA
Designer: Hot Wheels®
Specialty: With a turbine tank engine, side exhaust, and safety tools on top, this fire truck was made for fast response on and off the job.
Overall still not impressed with the concept that a military vehicle turned into a fire engine would be impressive. It’s idea is great in the drawing board, but as a casting its entirely suspension of disbelief that Hot Wheels continue to produce instead of focusing on manufacturing real world cars or concepts that might actually built and possibly mass produced.
“5 Alarm” is part of the 2014 Hot Wheels series under the HW City Works sub-line with overall numbered as 041 of 250 in the enitre series manufactured by Mattel, which was acquired in Australia, which retails for $2.00 AUD or PhP 80.00 Philippine pesos.
Hot Wheels is distributed and sold in the Philippines by Richprime Global Inc currently retailed at PhP 109.75 pesos!
