Known as "Metegol" in Spanish-Argentine, "Foosball" is about a geeky kid named Amadeo whose foosball figures come to life and help him take on a professional soccer team, in order to save his town and win back the respect of the love of his life.

Filmed to be more than a home-crowd pleaser where soccer is a national obsession in Argentina, the birthplace of the star players Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi, Latin America's acclaimed director Juan José Campanella believes that the movies has a universal appeal on brotherhood, friendship and hope that is at the backdrop of one the world's most-watched sports, soccer.

“I think this is the first film made in Argentina where we knew from the beginning that even if every Argentine saw it twice, it wouldn’t make its money back,” Campanella said in earlier interviews.

"Foosball" will open very soon in Philippin cinemas nationwide. For more upcoming films LIKE Axinite Digicinema at Facebook and subscribe on YouTube HERE.
