08.06.2013 – The Cadillac Escalade is a luxury Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) by General Motors under the Cadillac luxury brand first introduced in 1999. There were several iterations and versions that were released.

A redesigned model to deviate from the confusion from the GMC Yukon Denali introduced a newer model in 2002. In 2001 the Escalade brand was on hiatus due to its project to push for a new model. Takara Tomy acquired GMC’s rights to produce the Cadilac Escalade diecast collectible but the long limousine version.

The limo version something new and unique for the Tomica line of diecast cars as it was original released sometime in 2012. There was no other colored version aside from the Pearl white that would really catch your attention when it was sold last summer sometime in April 2013.

If you measure the diecast Escalade it combines two boxes of standard Tomica cars but don’t get your hopes up that it would be in the same scale as the other cars. There will always be consistency with scale when it comes to collectible die cast cars.

The long stretch limo is at 1/79 scale which would look undersized sitting side by side with any convention Tomica car and that would be the same thing with other competing brands that have not released their own version. There were other Cadillac Escalade models that came out in other brands but none like this version by Takara Tomy.

The details of the long stretch Cadillac Escalade limo was released along with the Tomica Dream line but no relation to that particular series. By now you won’t be seeing any of these on retail as it was long been sold out for its huge popularity.

For any Tomica car there would be gimmicks incorporate to some of the licensed cars that Takara Tomy has acquire but depends on the VERY selective brand of automobiles. For the Cadillac Escalde not is the most unique-ness in appearance as a long stretch limousine it has opening doors.

There was a actual version of a long stretch limo that was sighted during the Hot Manila Nights car show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City parked just in front of the entrance but not the Cadillac Escalade but an H2 Hummer. They have an actual long stretch limo of the Cadillac Escalade but not on display during the event

Though not exactly like the 1/79 scale version it would surely turn some heads. Usually these kinds of vehicles are used for weddings and special events. The particular diecast car version does not have a suspension like any of the Tomica cars but this Escalade clearly stands out to the other versions by competing brands.

Overall it is a unique version as a long stretch limousine but the Cadillac Escalade is still small in terms of scale parked side by side by other cars but what makes it stand out is there’s no such thing being made out there as a collectible diecast car.

The Cadilac Escalade is part of the 2012 Tomica series of die cast cars manufactured by Takara Tomy and locally distributed by Bankee Toys with the standard retail price at PhP 399.00 pesos.
