02.05.2012 – For almost thirteen years we first witness the highly talked about prequel to the original Star Wars Trilogy. The fourth one had mixed reviews but still earned a huge box office hit back when it was first shown on May 19, 1999.

Some of us lined-up for the midnight screening in Glorietta 4 Cinema to get the best seats to catch the space opera unfold to be Anakin Skywaker’s journey to become who we know as the Sith Lord Darth Vader himself voiced by the great James Earl Jones. Fast forward to 2012 the age of 3D has become the standard for most films shown is a big draw in theaters all over the world.

SM Cinema in SM Megamall together with 20th Century Fox Philippines brings you the 3D edition of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace to the big screen. The pageantry of the special press media screening was full force with the passionate Star Wars fans from the 501st Legion of the Philippine Outpost and Rebel Legion (Pag-Asa Wing Outpost) was in full support.












The event was also star studded with kids from ABS-CBN’s talent show was taking a pose with the Clone and Storm Troopers. The screening did not start without a raffle of prizes and the grand one a numbered edition of the movie poster, which hosted by Rico Robles of Monster Radio RX93.1 FM in his adidas Star Wars jacket.

The film distributor 20th Century Fox Philippines also provided catered food and drinks to fans who invited the media to see this first prior to the official screening on February 9, 2012 (February 10th in North America).
