The Tap Dancing Continues
Happy Feet 2 by leaps and bounds is one great musical spectacle that was surely best seen in the big screen. Story-wise the original was best told when it came to the story of Mumble when he was growing up. This time around we get to see the adventures of his son Erik (voiced by Ava Acres) and his cuddly penguin friends. Robin Williams double voices the characterization of Ramone and Lovelace which gives you the versatility of this Academy Award Winning Actor.
The voice of Gloria was taken over by Pink who originally voiced by the late Brittany Murphy back in 2007. There’s new characters introduced in this animated feature that will surely surprise you. This time around we get a comedy duo in Bill and Will a member of the Krill swarm which would definitely an entertaining part of the movie to see.
The music ensemble among the voice actors were superb that definitely anyone who appreciated this feature should get the soundtrack as the way it was with the original. The visuals this time around definitely made up for the sequel. If you look back from the original 2007 film the penguins aren’t much life-like and photorealistic as what this sequel has delivered.
Definitely you’ll be looking to dine-in to collect all four Jollibee Kiddie Meal toys or at least have a plushy of Erik for an early Christmas treat to see this movie in Digital 3D.
Overall its 4 out 5 ratings as the movie is suggested to kids and for the whole family who would like to hang out on a weekend. Though you won’t see the mascots running around for you to have a photo it’s enough to experience the music and the artistry plus the adventures of your lovable penguins in Happy Feet 2 and who knows we might see a third one coming in two years.
