| 10.23.2011 – adidas King of the Road culminates with its almost 4000 runners participating from all over the country. This year’s King of the road is hosted by the Philippines that also feature the best runners in Asia. You get to see the hard working and passionate runners of the local community with international counterparts from Kenya, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and other countries who participated. This is bigger KOTR event this year seeing local celebrities and personalities taking part to support one of the biggest running events to be held at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
The event was hosted by the pound for pound radio jock Rico Robles of Monster Radio RX93.1 and the new BTV personality in the lovely Ms. Riki Flores. The first gun start was the 21km began at 5AM where personalities Rovilson Fernandez and “Kuya” Kim Atienza were seen in the finish line showing the love for the sport of running.
This was followed by the unique route of 16.8km that started at 5:30AM where anticipated runners from social to serious runners were all set.
The last group was from 5km where personalities from TV and radio like Gelli Victor (Alagang Kapatid), Gino Quillamor, and Monica Francesca from RX93.1 were seen with the Boys Night Out of Slick Rick & Sam YG of Magic 89.9 FM after the finish line.
