Favoured sons of MTV, they had earlier attracted a strong local following after forming in Tempe, Arizona, USA, in 1987.
The band's debut, Dusted, was released in 1989 on vinyl and cassette only. The music backdrop and Wilson's vocals brought critical comparisons to R.E.M. and The Byrds.
The Gin Blossoms recorded a platinum Top 10 album but nevertheless dsibanded in 1997. Starting with a New Year's Eve of 2010 they reunited, the Gin Blossoms have again begun a new experience ioncluding a couple of shows in The Philippines, this November.
