07.10.2010 - Another successful tweet up thanks to the organizers and congratulations for having it once again. Finally this time around I was able to hang out with the people behind the usernames aside from friends who had been active in the previous tweet ups. It has been an active community of people from different field of profession. It was held at Wabi-sabi Noodle House & Vegetarian Grocery located at 7274 Malugay Street. A new hip culture that would be described as the Cubao Expo of Makati. I admit missing the first one as I had a cameo appearance on the second, but totally absent due to conflict of events last month. (Please CLICK on the title for the full article) |
Due to limited power on both of my digital cameras, which includes my latest acquisition of the Canon Powershot SX210 IS on its first field test photos where limited. Ross Juan, Jeff Tagle, and Vince Juanta among others where present. I'm not good with remembering names, but it was great to have met everyone.
The program started with introductions of each attendee. I got lost getting to the venue arriving late, which eventually was the same place I went to last February (Its the opening of the store Vinyl ON Vinyl co-owned by Gabby Dela Merced) located also at Malugay Street.
After the introductions there was a special by team contest or should a quiz headed by Divasoria. Prizes where given away to contest winners and trinkets for the attendees.
The free Manila Beer was served in other part of Malugay Street area, where Team Manila unveiled their Lomography Embassy Manila store with their Spinner 360 Degrees Lomo camera. Over flowing beer for their Light and Draft products where served for FREE. I checked out the stores nearby as well. The place has changed since February with more stores opening at Malugay Street which reminded me of Cubao Expo with an artist exhibit.
I didn't stay late after the program at 9PM everyone went in their separate ways. Some stayed near by the bar. It was a cool place worth hanging out there, but overall the tweet up was a successful one.
Here's hoping to be able to attend the next one not getting lost on the way to the venue and hopefully still within Makati area.
