WARNING: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD. WE DIDN'T SAY WE WARNED YOU IF YOU WANT TO DELVE DEEP TO THE RECESS OF ONE MOVIE REVIEWERS MIND.
A Mind-F*&@NG Experience
From start to finish right out of the bat you should really pay attention every detail of this movie. Because once you get distracted with minor conversations with your seatmate you will be left out like flying blind. Its an opus to Christopher Nolan with the signature multi-scenes where you have to keep your eyes and ears open on every scene, and it really was a definite challenge to pay attention as a viewer. Seeing Nolan's only two movies namely Batman Begins and The Dark Knight was the only link for me to see this epic proportion.
Considered to be one of the most highly anticipated films for this year. If you haven't seen any movies this week this one is on top of the list as the biggest thing since The Dark Knight became the best Batman film ever made. Though no to compare this to a hero flick. Inception really is a mind boggling film, that in every detail it gives you complex and yet cerebral thinking watching this film.
If your just all about the hype wanting to just see the movie because you heard Christopher Nolan's name then your a douche. It takes enough brain function to get into the scenes and what to make of it. Though not to spill the beans on the whole plot of the story just a premise.
It stars Leonard DiCaprio (Shutter Island another half cerebral movie) as the main guy employed is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction: stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable.
Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse; their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.
In some ways of understanding this film some might compare it to The Matrix minus the computers and futuristic machines. Its a science fiction film as its been told that is going to make your nose bleed. Its an original done written by Nolan in something to be watchable for those with intellectual gusto and have the patience when it comes to seeing something unique.
A few people who would have not known the movie title Inception many would ask too questions as to What is the Matrix? was like a second question to Optimus Prime's device that makes him the leader of the Autobots.
If you know that your curious and wanting to know about Inception I highly suggest you see it being a magna opus work of art by Christopher Nolan means this movie has got legs to make you want to see it to believe it.
The Verdict
I got to say Joseph Gordon-Levitt has gone from the guy who fell in love in 500 Days of Summer, and becoming Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. He was stellar on this film and the way he carried his role is like a well oiled machine.
This is an all-star cast and no doubt about Nolan's choice of actors who have worked with him for years namely Ken Watanabe (as Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins), Cillian Murphy (as Scarecrow in Batman Begins) and Sir Michael Caine (as Alfred Pennyworth in both Batman films) who are all synonymous in his previous films.
If this weekend is free for you to see Inception everyone's guess by now that the rating I'm giving is 10/10 popcorn points wanting to see this again.
As my friend Timzster would want to see the this with subtitles. Because you'll definitely miss seeing if your half distracted. So my piece of advice is turn off your mobile phones and see it without any distraction.
A definite mind blogging nose bleeding experience if your just reacting too much. But if you are a definite movie buff you'll get everything on your plate.
Chances are you'll still leave the cinema wondering what is the Inception.
