02.25.2007 – The music of Bossa Nova continues to become part of the Filipino music scene with new talent being introduced as an added fusion of local tunes and expands the diverse taste to the vibe performed with such talents like Sofia Mozo or simply Sofia, who towards the last quarter of 2006 emerged to bring the music further with her style of artistry with her debut album Bossa Latino Lite.

Sofia’s local album tour to the greater public starts the new year at SM Megamall’s Atrium, where the veritable ‘testing grounds’ how people would gravitate to her style of music, which has been the place for other new talents to introduce their work.

Though this is not the first time she has performed at the same venue and shopping mall, but this launches her new album for 2007 as new fans welcome to her style and sound of Bossa Nova.

From intimate bars and lounge venues, and now to the mall crowd she brings her talents not only in her renditions to familiar Bossa Nova songs, but also shows she can play the instruments and not just a pair maracas or a tambourine. She really is not just a pretty face with a soothing voice, but a talent that is genuine performer to further show that Bossa Nova is not just a trend but also an art form.

With warm up opening songs from her “Bossa Latino Lite” album to inviting her audience to dance together in showing there’s more to just the music. But also the culture, where the music came from and it’s evident in her recent public gig at the local mall that clearly defines her not just a performer but knows her craft.

The Atrium in SM Megamall surely isn’t difficult to find near the Mega B, where a tiny stage was set up. It was afternoon to remember that introduces her brand of Bossa Nova not just about the music and her debut album from last year.

This start of the year for Sofia is certainly something to look forward to if you missed this recent public gig. There will be more of her music soon and this is just the beginning of her music career. For now, don’t miss out her debut album “Bossa Latino Lite” from Ivory Records now available at all local music stores nationwide.
