11.30.2008 - The Volkswagen Beetle has been the most prominent vehicle on the road, even though they stopped production in Brazil of the classic in 2002. It was very much known the public as people's car. In the 70s was symbolized at the Love Bug for the hippies.
It had endured and out produced second the Ford Model-T, and was replaced by the modern version in the form of the New Beetle. Entirely different from the classic, that only shares a chassis of the Volkswagen Golf and the engine is now in front. Though nobody would missed the original, that Hitler built for the German masses in the 1940s.
Its still everyone's favorite car, and LEGO® the famous construction toy in the world has immortalized the Beetle.
This special edition LEGO® is not sold in department stores as the color of the box is blue. You can see this one on display and sold exclusively at Hobbes & Landes Universe located at the Bonifacio High Street.

11.28.2008 - Last November 16th during the hours of the Rhianna & Chris Brown concert was just hanging out at a well deserted Bonifacio High Street. Not much people in the are has given the chance for another Toy Photography.
Using Marvel Legends Wolverine that was released at the Apocalypse Series Assortment. The photo was taken near Fullybooked under the amazement of the watchful eyes of the security guards in the area. They must have added curiosity to something out of the ordinary.
The camera used in this shoot is the Canon Powershot A430. Set to micro settings without any flash used to capture the natural light and tone of the figure. Mostly the affect attempting to make it here is the realism of Wolverine.
Being part of the background it makes more than just an ordinary toy.

11.24.2008 - You could only missed him seen playing the game five years ago. But those where the years where he decided to end his career in a losing note as a Washington Wizard. If you go further back just through why the Chicago Bulls was once an elite you'll know why.
Sometimes his words are a source of inspiration. For those who followed him the day he was drafted up to the part you saw how he stole the ball from Karl Malone, and set up his final shot against Uta Jazz in the 1998 NBA Finals. I saw it when it was aired live on ESPN and it was never the same ever since.
This year though marks the release of the 23rd Air Jordan shoe under his Jumpman label. Its been since January I've been getting these, and thought I might share something for others to be inspired too.
11.23.2008 - Every year Komikon 2008 gets better with substance, and content on what's been happening in the Philippine comics industry. 11.22.2008 - It might be a missed opportunity to get inside the concerts, but nothing beats listening to it in a very calm place. Bonifacio High Street was deserted and mostly empty. Though the experience can be said about being part of that crazy crowd.
Having the experience the Eraserheads: The Reunion Concert this recent August WAS THE NEXT LEVEL. Admittedly not much of a listener there music.
But where talking about the concert and the set up as heard that it was wilder.

11.16.2008 - Last night was the successful launch of the very first volume of Foldabots Toy Book and hats off to friend and creator Jomike Tejido who made paper folding as a fun way to make for kids.
The book compiles the characters appearing in the pages of K-Zone magazine by Summit Media Publishing. Fellow Artists' Den, Colleagues from Transformers Philippines, relatives, and close friends was there to support the launching. As well people from Summit who co-organized promoting this event.
Currently Foldabots has now started there own comic book adventures, which began in the May 2008 issue of K-Zone. Jomike had mentioned that he also plans to compile all the comic strip now appearing in the said magazine.
You don't need to cut them from the magazine page when you can by the pre-assembled version too.
The Foldabots special blind boxes that had silver colors, which can also be seen packed in blind boxes at Fresh Manila. Add that to the Art Angel host's list of creation.

11.15.2008 - Finally getting out of the first day of the three day Mall sale in Ayala. It must be a war all the time when your going to a place that held these kind of events. You'll be burning your pockets after pay day.
After seeing Quantum of Solace got to pick Casino Royale, which saw first 30 minutes of the film and got really impressed. The other DVD was the original Madagascar animation. Due to the hype of the Happy Meal for the sequel Escape From Africa had acquired a copy both on Sale at Astro Plus.
A little upgrade for the little silver iPod, which was a good time since the earphones that came with it originally has worn out.
Interchangeable color clips and designed vents made the sound more like its live. I was planning to get an original iPod earphone for it, but decided to get the Philips Mix and Match earphones made for iPod less expensive and colorful too.
11.14.2008 - Last night our man Marcelle Fabie aka Majikel had invited fellow bloggers ang Plurkistaa to his little party at red Box. Recently he won a special prize during the launch of the Wii Nights at Red Box last month. He came in costume as the box in Metal Gear Solid took home the gift checks.
So he invited friends from Plurk to hang out with him at Red Box. Even Janette Toral passed by her surprise to see familiar faces singing there lungs out to the tune of Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls.
It was fun filled hilarious Thursday night out. Thanks for the show Majikel!
11.13.2008 - A lot of good vibes in this upcoming movie with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. After seeing other adventure filled movies that has relations to espionage and action why not try to see this movie?
Burn After Reading is a 2008 black comedy by Joel and Ethan Coen. The film stars John Malkovich, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and Brad Pitt. It was released in the USA on September 12, 2008 and it was released on October 17, 2008 in the UK. The film had its premiere on August 27, 2008 when it opened the 2008 Venice Film Festival.
The film is the brothers' first to follow their Academy Award winning Best Picture, No Country for Old Men.
So far I haven't seen a George Clooney & Brad Pitt movie, since they paired off along with other high profile actors in Ocean's Eleven and was not able to see the follow up sequels.
It would be awesome to see it in an advance premier again.
But if not highly recommend to see this movie not only due to positive reviews, but for the concept it was written for. The movie premier is on November 18, 2008 this Tuesday at Robinsons Movie World.
The Burn After Reading Movie Premiere is made possible by Nuffnang Philippines Inc. in cooperation with Viva Entertainment Inc, and Robinsons Movie World.
11.12.2008 - Cleaning up and reorganizing my magazines I've collected for the past months. I didn't notice that I had received an issue of High Profile during the Digital Filipino Club Bloggers Fellowship Night last month and it was a premier issue to boot.
I already browsed this particular magazine before during that night. It was published by PAGCOR and mostly related to there future projects.
Though related to the past, present and future growth of PAGCOR it also featured certain personalities in the field of entertainment and arts. One photo caught my attention someone vaguely very familiar under the hair and makeup.
It was none other than the Queen of Bossanova, who had grown from a lounge singer turned into an actress and host.
Catch Sitti's delightful music on her upcoming Birthday Concert on November 29th at Captain's Bar in Mandarin Oriental Manila. For more details see it HERE.
11.11.2008 - Recently weekend was not only the FHM signings but also this year's UP AME at the Bahay ng Alumni at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. On the way to the FHM signing had to stop for a quick toy shoot.
I've been missing UP Diliman as the place for Toy Photography, since my friend left went back to the states.
So I pulled out Trap Jaw (from the Masters of the Universe series one of the villains of He-Man) just took several shots then took the jeepney out of the campus.
11.10.2008 - Recently during the All Souls Day had been looking around the mall area. Months ago there was an interest for Stikfas toys.
A stick figure that you can assemble and build. You can personalized with interchangeable parts. The early year I was into it but due to cheap quality like ball joints wearing down, and plastic was not as par shall we say... LEGO?
Definitely not a construction toy as above mentioned, but poor quality was the issue and I won't highly suggest starting a hobby about it.
Though its nice for your office table display but for something you can buy worth PhP 300.00 pesos. I'll just save money for something worth the buck.
Oh by the way I saw a fake version being sold alongside the original for only PhP 50.00 pesos. I thought these ones where extinct.
11.09.2008 - Talk about double whammy for the FHM magazine readers out there. Its a milestone 100th issue for the magazine that topped it all. Bringing it for the for the fans and by the fans with no exclusivity. We congratulate FHM Philippines for making it to the 100th issue. Here's another 100 issues to make it a double century.
The cover girls where present with the exception of Precious Adona who was nowhere in sight. This coverage was taken at the Robinsons Movie World in Galleria yesterday and part two will be at Robinsons Ermita Manila in Midtown.
11.08.2008 - It was a night to remember and it was one hell of a party. Three places where no Axe aficionado had dared to experience the cross clubbing on a Friday night. But out fellow bloggers have dared to be different and dare to make women go wild with the new Axe Dark Temptations a new flavor the Axe in you.
The trip from Ascend, Fiamma, and to finally at Alchemy is one wild tour bus to another. Getting a glimpse of how our fellow bloggers change from extra ordinary geeks to turning women on.
This is one night surely missed by other, and those who had wished they where the ones who dared to experience.

Nightly adventures comes rarely most of the weekend. Its either stuck at home or just hanging out at one fast food joint or at the mall with close friends.
11.06.2008 - If your reading this chances are you already completed all eight Madagascar 2: Escape From Africa Happy Meal Toys from McDonald's or your running crazy to the nearest outlet in your area to get them all.
As of this blog I'm down to three characters. Mostly got the main cast of Alex, Gloria, and Marty. Each character spits out there individual dialogue from the movie or mostly there one-liners when you shake one figure. Mostly the loud one is Marty the Zebra, that was sold out in the SM Megamall branch of McDonald's.
Three more characters to complete all eight. I'm sure the first three would be sold out so get them while all main characters are still available.
If you haven't watched Madagascar the first movie is now available on DVD. See the movie as it opens this Friday November 7th in all cinemas. So what are you waiting for? You got to move it... Move it... Or your gonna miss it!
11.05.2008 - Simply invigorating. I haven't seen a James Bond this differently. Quantum of Solace the 22nd Bond film the direct sequel to the 2006 Casino Royale is a different beast when you see it.
Today was the showing of the film in the Philippines, but originally premiered in United Kingdom on October 31st, 2008.

11.04.2008 - Catch Jomike Tejido and his amazing creation compilation Foldabots this coming November 15th at the Powerbooks Live! in Greenbelt 3. Foldabots first appeared in KZone magazine early last year, and never stopped appearing since it was introduced.
A cut out of robots that fold into vehicles, animals or even combined with other Foldabots characters to form a gian robot. Does this remind you about Transformers already?
True to the matter Jomike's a big Transformers Fan, where all his inspiration to create these wonderful cut out characters monthly on KZone magazine.
Grab a copy of the book compilation we'' see you there!
11.03.2008 - Its been a while since the last trip to the comics shop. Actually its been a month since the last I read about what happened to The New Captain America. What's been happening to the 7th issue of Secret Invasion? And how is Batman going to deal with his current nemesis The Black Glove?
You'd be surprise who was Thor talking to in that three page scene that he called from the after life... Confused already?
I guess if your not into reading super hero comics I'd feel your sentiments. But not every issue that you see would read will make it too logical to understand...
11.02.2008 - Few can test the tide of times. But for the Eraserheads after breaking up in 2003 the hype never stops. Countless fans who grew up listening to there music will always and forever be a fan. On August 30th, 2008 that day came and finally had the chance to reconnect with the past, through the music of the Eraserheads in that short but brief reunion concert. Now immortalized in the Eraserheads: The Reunion CD that was released by Sony BMG yesterday at all Odyssey stores. Word got out that they have released fifty albums per branch, and seemed like the Eheads never broke up after so many years. You couldn't have asked for more by just listening to the album it immediately transports you back to that night, where everyone was shouting "group hug! and screams of appreciation.
This ones for the history books and we can't say it ends only in the audio recordings. Let's hope they release the DVD edition.
11.01.2008 - The Clear Black Nights Party was held at Taste Asia in Mall of Asia last Friday of October 31st, 2008. People from different spectrum of the media namely well known personalities from the blogging community as well as people from entertainment and business.
It was eventful of music, food, and people wearing in black. Mostly it was about getting to relax on a Friday night. Surprisingly selected Miss Earth Beauty Pageants (Belgium, England, Greece, Philippines and Tanzania) dropped by to party and hang out.
The night was filled with purely an adulterated fun. Until the next blog related event I hope you guys had a great time!
