09.29.2008 - With the success of the first convention to happen inside a theme park in the Philippines expect to see another another one next year. As success wont be enough thanks to the Filipino cosplayers all 162 of them graced the event.

So if your one of them pat yourself in the back for being part of this event. The event wont be possible without the community groups, sponsors, sellers, and the fans. Yes you there who went and enjoyed the rides until your stomach had a twist and turn the same goes for next year.
So until the next year's event don't forget to dress up and bring a friend for the ride!
| 09.28.2008 - In less than a year, Planet X Comics immediately expands to their second store, which was opened with a grand fashion by inviting some of the well-known local artists and creators in the industry.
| Some of them even worked with the Nig Two and they are all here under one roof. Planet X Comics did not hesitate to bring the best and brightest to usher in their new store located at the Glorietta 3 Mall with a huge crowd in the area lining up for autographs and picking up some of the latest graphic novels from their shop and it was one big celebration with family and friends! 09.27.2008 - nagging headache and body's heavy. Yup we are drunk and buried alive in a mountain full of exhaustion. But it was all good as San Miguel Beer's Oktoberfest takes there 120 days to the bloggers night at Taste Asia in SM Mall of Asia, where blog denizens celebrated and got drunk in the wee hours of the night. I couldn't contain the excitement said by one of my friends when he was as red a tomato. I know he never drinks but he was as sober as everyone in the bunch.

But the night won't end with just the drinking and all. Moonstar88 performed all night singing there hit songs and one eye popping Eraserheads cover song of Sembreak captured on video. There was a drinking contest where one of my friends thought, that he was about to drink in a bottle but turns out to be a pitcher!

There was FREE food and there was FREE giveaways as everyone took home something. I got mine in the form of a blue tooth ear piece for my mobile phone, which I doubt would be receiving further calls using this interesting device.
So the night was young and everyone dropped like a rock.
Nobody went online as I expected and everyone was merry taking home six cans of pale pilsen, and a potato chip packed in a yellow bag.
As they say a good event doesn't come once in a lifetime if you don't enjoy life.
09.26.2008 - It took so long for the update that everyone had all there own footage, but this one's special treat. Thanks to my friend who helped me edit two of the songs. It took almost an over night wait but its worth the viewing.
Finally its on You Tube as for the rest of the videos as promised will be an exclusive for another friend.
For now enjoy this footage.
Tenacious D "Complete Masterworks V.2" Official Traile
09.24.2008 - I'm a big fan of Tenacious D the duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass has a new 2-disc DVD coming out on October 28th. Its the Tenacious D Complete Masterworks V.2 and it will also going to be released in the Blu-Ray format check it out HERE!

09.23.2008 - On the way home from meeting a friend yesterday I just checked out, where the new branch Planet X Comics is located undergoing construction. Its at the 3rd level of Glorietta 3 across Mercury Drug.
A very unusual place where rarely people go, but by this coming Saturday it will a crowded place for comic book geeks who'll be lining up for some freebies.
We'll see it then on Saturday of September 27th.

09.22.2008 - Arrving late and missing Mister Palengke himself Mar Roxas, who delivered a speech to open this year's Blog Awards. Not to be able to doodle stuff with the WeeWillDoodle gang, but I never missed the FREE food. Just like Mach Diesel once said food taste even better when its FREE.

So this is how the Blog Awards unfold just like the same experience with the Web Awards I attended some years back. But I'm still getting to learn about the culture. Because these bloggers have each unique passion and talents that they can express. Unlike the forum communities I hang out with regards to my hobbies. Blogging is a different level of expressing once passion for anything.

Finally see how this event happen and would like to thank my friends for keeping posted. I can't even imagine being a blogger for the past four years has gave a lesson, and for those who missed the event see a few of the photos.

Not to mention winning something in the raffle felt a little bit awkward but its all very good.

09.21.2008 - I got the message yesterday from a close friend at Comic Odyssey that there opening up there fifth store (second store named Planet X Comics) in Glorietta 3 in Ayala next weekend. It will be on September 27th a Saturday and there will comic book artists will be on-hand to sign comics plus do sketches too.
For more of the event and further details see it HERE!

09.19.2008 - The other day when I was on my way out from getting Mach's signed tarpaulin from the FHM magazine office was thinking of taking the train.
I never though huge advertising boards would make you look and get distracted. These days when your driving along Edsa a lot can be seen & sometime get distracted. For some a minor road mishap or serious damage to ones vehicle.
But then again why not get distracted? I guess that's one of the reasons the MMDA want to take it down for the regular motorists to be safe.
Personally its better to tone down ads like naked or too much bright light will do.
Happy safe driving this weekend people.
| 09.18.2008 – There are so many things to celebrate with the success of Jaymee Joaquin’s Playboy cover, and signing event. It has been given that she deserves all the accolades in her current endeavor making it. But behind the scenes, it wasn’t all that fun, to be honest. While everyone has been getting all the necessary enjoyment, the behind-the-scenes is quite a turn-off.
Playboy Magazine Philippines has partnered with Driven Manila, which owns the Warehouse 135 Club in Yakal just outside the Makati CBD. It recently opened a couple of years ago and it has been getting quite an attention. Not because of the place. But the neighboring residential area is having mixed reactions to the way noise pollution brings to the vicinity. (Please CLICK on the title for the full article) |

09.17.2008 - Traveled all the way from work. Reaching the new office of Summit Media publishing (the company that prints FHM magazines) was like going to a foreign country.
Though it was a short trip I'm sure Mach "Diesel" Manuel will be one happy baldy. He got himself a signed tarpaulin from last year's FHM 2008 Calendar autograph signing. The very first time he met Katrina Halili, and the hype about having your standee by Katrina Halili signed by the famed actress herself.
Well here's hoping to get that Iwa Moto standee for myself. HA!
09.16.2008 - Browsing before off to bed I can't stop feeling that the rumors about the party was just an urban legend. But turns out they did have a continuation of that reunion on the day Ely Buendia was rushed to the hospital and we where on our way home.
So that was the loud ruckus in the other side of the street near the area, where parked vehicles spilled from SaGuijo. It was late that night everyone was tired from the travel. But stumbled upon Quark Henares' You Tube account, where posted the videos. Thanks Quark!
I'll thank you in person very soon, and visit his You Tube right HERE.
Damn. I wish I was there too.

09.14.2008 - You've got serve with this September's Playboy cover girl Jaymee Joaquin will be signing copies of the latest issue of Playboy at Warehouse 135. The event will be this Wednesday September 17th at 8pm.
For further details and complete info of the upcoming Playboy event its right HERE.

09.12.2008 - This year's theme Word Without Borders will be the first day today. Be sure to check out this year's The 29th International Manila Book Fair, which will be at SMX Convention Center beside SM Mall of Asia. The event will be from September 12 to 16 and opens at 10AM-8PM. Catch the cosplayers on Saturday and Sunday. Entrance for adults is PhP 10.00 pesos and for children at PhP 8.00 pesos.

09.10.2008 - Early afternoon it was still raining but not as worst during lunch at work. It was like typhoon Milenyo came back for a revenge. Though that was two years ago it was the worse back then. Its worse now when I got home and saw my Master Collector news letter looked the postman just threw it in the gate.
This sucks that its not sealed in plastic anymore unlike the previous ones. I guess I need a word with them to re-send me a new one that I could read. Crossing thy fingers that they would... Hopefully.

09.09.2008 - Just got this one off from the clearance sale during the time Arts & Music Festival was in full swing and was lugging it on the way to the Eraserheads: The Reunion Concert.
I got a new pair of Air Jordan kicks slightly off my size since I prefer "7.5 to a maximum of "8, but last pair almost 50% percent off from the rack. Getting the Jordan III Retro wasn't that bad after all. A reissue of his third edition now in black with the signature "Black Cat" hidden in the back of the shoe.
Though its "8.5 it fits well but had a little room. Seriously I just needed a new pair to replace the broken ones needed for retiring.

09.06.2008 - After the three-month Gweilos gigs in Makati Kitchie Nadal is back on her local gig circuit on tour and on the road. We caught up with her last night at Cubao Expo for a local art exhibit featuring her works as well as other painters & sculpts.
Kitchie performed five songs and the event was sponsored by the Edge Radio and Cubao Expo.
For more of her gigs and tours log on to her official website.

09.06.2008 - Events happening from last night's San Miguel Beer Oktoberfest Fest kick off has been what shall we say a poor preparation for the event. A lot of people where expecting and paid for it. Due to a huge turn out there's so many people had gone home disappointed. Poorly organized to the point they should have limit the tickets.

There was a preparation to beat the Guinness Book of Records for the longest bar, but they also had put up a record for too many disappointed and unhappy patrons unable to experience what others had paid for. So many factors no need to be told in detail.
Just a poor showing for the organizers to capture everyone's attention. This experience might not happen again next year as expectation wont be as big as will it ever be.

09.05.2008 - San Miguel Beer is celebrating 120 years and what more can you possibly imagine besides that Third Eye Blind is coming to town? Beating the Guinness World Record for the longest bar or the ticket for the concert is at PhP120.00 pesos? Either way this is going to be huge and monumental.

Would that possibly give you a migraine of excitement? It surely does and this happens tonight. Well if you haven't been around last night to see how they have set-up the longest bar, maybe your just locked up somewhere where you need to get out.
I'm sure tonight's going to be rocking!

09.04.2008 - Thanks to Azrael again for another event happening this weekend. You can't miss Third Eye Blind at the kick off party of this year's Oktoberfest.
This is definitely going to rock.
