12.25.2005 - Last year my Christmas was a bit of a struggle compared to this year. Well actually my sister gave me a gift to add to my glass diplay, and something to use from time to time. Suprisingly I got a Venom figurine licking his ice cream, and a sparkplug flashlight keychain for me never to get lost in the dark. As simple as the gift was I liked the sparkplug looking flashlight.
The Venom figurine adds up to the list characters on my glass display aside for the enourmous Transformers toys taking up space on the display I bought a month ago. This one will share shelf space with a few of my action figures.
12.24.2005 - After helping out on the one-day Transfans Philippines event for the Manila International Gift Show 2005, which still runs since it began last December 21st up to the 30th. I suggested that I spend my well deserved three day off away from the hobby, and my buddy JoeShred obliged. He suggested I dropped by RX93.1 and its been quite a long time since I went there for a visit.
There's a lot of changed happened since the last I saw the on-air booth. Actually the last time I got there was not a happy one way back in May 1999, and the most recent drop-by the station experience was with Catseyes on March 2001 secretly we picked up tickets for a party happening back then.
So this one's official drop by the station after a long hiatus on radio. I was hoping to stay longer for Radio1, but I don't want to over due my welcome. After the Morning Rush JoeShred and yours trully went to Greenhills, and after lunch we set for home. Just one funny experience though on our way out the parking lot is seeing call center agents setting up a photo shoot for there Friendster stuff. On our way out a nice pretty girl who is the one setting up the cars for there photoshoot gave us a good bye signal. I hope its not the last that we'll see her around.

12.04.2005 - The Eraserheads where one of my favorite bands of all time during there introduction in the mid 90's. I didn't knew that until my sister told me they'll get a special tribute album. It was released a few days ago if I'm not not mistaken. The album contains special performances by various famed artists from the industry with there own rendition of the songs sang by the `Heads. The album cover is also a tribute to the fab four drawn by one of the top comic book artists in the industry and that's Arnold Arre.
It contains seventeen tracks with each song performed by 6 Cycle Mind, Paolo Santos, Imago, Barbie Almalbis, South Border,Sugarfree, Kitchie Nadal, and many more. I only had one personal glimpes of the Eraserheads way back in 1997 during my Radio1 days. They where guests for RX93.1's RX Concert Series, and I happen to drop by the station during that night. They where promoting Cutter Pillow back then, and nothing compares the Eraserheads when they perform there own material.
If your still high with the Eraserheads try picking up a copy of this album. You'd wish the Eraserheads would take notice, and make a grand reunion of sorts. Though in reality that would likely be impossible, but this album will do for now.
12.03.2005 - Its been a long three months off waiting, but worth every peso I saved to get a copy of Anansi Boys. This is not just an ordinary copy of Anansi Boys. This is a signed edition from Cody's Books. Its where my fellow Neil Gaiman reader & colleague Ryan Ambrosio went last October to meet the man himself.

Finally its in my hands after that long wait. I already saw a couple of copies of Anansi Boys being sold here, but nothing compares to this one that I got from Ryan. I also got my signed Sandman #50 a few weeks earlier courtesy of Ryan's brother Marc Ambrosio. I haven't fully began to read the book due to Chronicles Of Narnia, but I'll find my time due to my very hectic schedule.

There's even Infinite Crisis comic book mini-series from DC Comics, but I'm already finished with the first issue now I'm looking for the second one.
12.02.2005 - I'm not a fan of C.S. Lewis nor I know any of his works, but I have heard of Narnia a lot of times from my friend who's into theater. This month a lot of big happenings are in store for C.S. Lewis' famed master piece. A new film to be released worldwide by the 9th of December 2005, but sad to say the Philippine premiere will be on the 8th of January 2006. Countless book editions have been released, and I might pick a copy for me this week. Its been quite a while since I read a good book.
Anyways the events unfold this month also as The Philippine Order Of Narnians together with Fully Booked at Rockwell will launch a long weekend of special events that's all about the world of Narnia. For more of the detailed schedule scoot over my best buddy Azrael's Merrylace-- err Merryland, where the complete guide of happenings is available.
If you crave some more Narnia grab a Twister Fries & Sarsi Float meal at McDonalds for only PhP 59.00 pesos. Collect all three tumbler designs for more Narnia goodness.
