Stop Over at 7 Eleven

11.25.2005 - Last night I was just on my home when I decided to stop by my nearest 7 Eleven store to grab some munchies, and guess what I got there?

My 7 Eleven Goodies

Yup! A Hot Wheels Volkswagen Beetle Cup car at 7 Eleven?! I never thought I'd see toys being sold at our local convenient store. I'm not really into diecast toys seriously, but I always wanted a Volkswagen as a dream car. Well I guess this was a better time to grab one, since its the only one I saw there during that time.

Hot Wheels Volkswagen Beetle Cup

The last time I went to a 7 Eleven store, which where selling toys was five years ago. It was during my second and last trip to Hongkong. Now I got a Hot Wheels diecast car and this is my very first. I don't have plans on opening right now, but I'll let you know when I have.

The Real Mos Eisley

The Real Mos Eisley

11.21.2005 - Yesterday I watched the 4th Harry Potter film at SM Southmall. On my way home I just saw a strange looking beer house and its kinda weird, that its located in front of the mall itself. I'm no serious Star Wars fan, but my friends from SWP would like to see this place.

11.13.2005 - Hero TV's Grand Launch has begun and people where lining up to get inside the Philippine Training Trade Center in Roxas Boulevard. Well this is unfortunate for me to say this, but it was like going through ROTC training when we got there. Personally it took us four hours to get in the building, and its not a very pretty experience for the younger ones.

Its only day one and people are crowding today, since its FREE ADMISSION and you know when people hear the word "FREE" pandemonium errupts. So far getting there by 9:30AM and getting inside by 1:05PM was not the idea me and my companion had in mind. The experience was not bareable for a visitor, but for the exihibitors its a great event to be part of. Well there's this analogy of mine and that is you have to put the people who went to the event first. I guess that experience as one of them is not what we had in mind as we elbowed our way in for four hours burning in heat. The event is not a catastrophe though it was a successful one, but for the younger kids and parents for them I dont think that's not a great thing to remember.

Honestly I like the set-up its just poor crowd control, that look like a little bad for the event. We didn't think about the experience would be this difficult outside the venue. Waiting to get in for four hours, compared to other conventions this was more difficult to get in. The worst part is having stuck with other people's sweat was not good enough until somebody farted we felt... Violated.

11.08.2005 - I'm fond of reading humor books and its one of my hobbies lately. I'm into Garfield at a young age and in college I was introduced to Pugad Baboy. Today I still do read these books and now my interest has added Beerkada. It was created by Lyndon Gregorio my colleague at Artists' Den. I love reading his books, and I have completed all five issues. Not to mention bought four versions of his shirts, that came out this year being sold at Spoofs Limited.

Last week I just bought the 4th printing of the very first Beerkada book titled Beerlenium. I have finally completed the Beerkada books all I need now is his autograph usually his cartoon art depicting me. Yesterday also I went all the way to the Pugad Baboy warehouse to avail the 18th Pugad Baboy book, which wasn't being sold yet in major bookstores. I haven't finished reading both books, but I'm sure you'll laugh your lungs out on these books. I advice everyone to pick a copy its not only because of the laughs that your gonna get. Its made by Filipinos for the Filipinos.
